If someone who always connect with the internet, most of them have their own modem. We ever heard modem, but do you know what modem is?

Mobile Phone .

Everybody has known about mobile phone. In Indonesia, it is called "Handphone". It is one of technology that can we use to communicate. People can easily to talk each other without meet face to face. It will not waste our time.

Laptop for Students

Nowadays, everybody needs something that can make their life easier. For example, if they want to do their homework or job by using computer, they can not only do their job at home. Because of that, now there is a technology called "Laptop". Every body can bring it easily everywhere.

SMARTPHONE

 

Do you have a Smartphone? And do you know what Smartphone is?  A Smartphone is devices that allows for communication such as making a call or send a message, also in there is a function PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) and enabled like any computer.

The characteristic of Smartphone:

♥       Operating System

The main characteristic of a Smartphone is operating system in it that allows us to run many applications, such as Windows Mobile, Android, Symbian, or Blackberry Operating System.

♥       Accessing the web/internet

Capabilities that are owned by a Smartphone is that it can be used to access the web / internet. Opera Mobile, Skyfire Mobile, IE Mobile is an example of a browser on a Smartphone.

♥       QWERTY Keyboard

The other characteristic of Smartphone is the QWERTY keyboard, it to make easier Smartphone users to type a document or send a message.

♥       Messaging

The ability to process messages on a Smartphone is not confined to send a message, but also has been equipped with the ability to send email.

21st Century Generation

21st century is influenced by the development of information communication and technology in various aspects life. So that why, this 21st century is also known as the era of technology or globalization era. The existence of technology today allows everyone to get information about anything, from anywhere, everywhere, and anytime. It means everyone can learn from everywhere. What about the children in 21^st century? They are life in dramatic technological revolution. They are also called as digital learner, because they are famous with product of technology such as laptop, computer, mobile phone, TV’s or game consoles at home etc. The children in 21^st century have a special and unique character that is more expressive and explorative. They are also creative, critical thinking and problem solving. Can be said they have more capabilities than the previous generation to transform imagination into reality. They learn now more flexible than before. Not only at school, by helping of technology as the media they can learn not only from text book. 

Humans in the 21st century have the following characteristics:

☻      Social Learning Skills: This skill includes the ability to make decisions, communicate, build trust, and problem solving.

☻    Interaction Skills (Skills Discursive) : includes the ability to critically discuss the issues, share ideas and arguments in a rational and logical, negotiate and demonstrate  on the different perspectives and be able to become effective listeners.

☻    Skills self-evaluation and group (introspection): It means their active; help each other and full responsibility in their group activities.

☻    Skills reflection: This skill means accept critism and suggestions from each other and improve them selves or group for the better.

Technology and information

Everyone needs information to know about something. With technology, someone will get more knowledge for their life. Usually people get information from magazine. But, nowadays in 21^st century people can access information that they need everywhere. Today, everyone knows and can access internet to their life. With internet they can access information everywhere. So, they will not get hard when they want to know about something new. With information, people can improve their life because they can get more information for example about job vacancy. It is easier to find a job as quality that you have. You can also up-to-date with the information that’s new in the world.

With technology we can access information that we need. When we want to learn about something, with one click we can get it soon. So, we will rich our knowledge, ability if we use technology to get information that useful for our life. It is possible for us to alter our life with technology and information.

Technology and Communication

In 21^st century communication became easier to do. We can use cell phone to have communication with the other. Cell phone help us to get communication. Besides that, a cell phone can give the facilitates that all you need for communicating. From a cell phone you can make calls, text message, email, send and receive directions, buy things, do online banking, listen to music and much more.

Besides cell phone, communication is the most popular use of the Internet. With internet and it aplications communication is unlimited to do. It is easier and possible to have communication with the other people in other part of world. We can talk about something with the other in the same time at the different place. Other technology that available in internet is we can do communications which including video and audio conferencing and Internet telephony, it require more multimedia capabilities of computer systems and are more taxing of network resources than the others. They also are adaptations of other technologies to the Internet. 

In conclusions, technology has its own advantages for communication, such as:  

• With technology we can communicate with anyone around the globe by simply text messaging them  or sending them an email. 
• The internet has opened up face to face direct communication from different parts  of the world. 
• With technology, communication become easier, cheaper, quicker and more efficient.
• Both cell phone and internet provides us to get communication.

21st century life

What happened in this century, well I’ll give some explains. In 21^st century most of people use technology. They use technology to help them at home, at school, at office, and anywhere. They can do everything with technology. They can have communication with the other, access information, earn money, etc. At home, people use some goods that contains elements of technologist. For example, when someone want to wash their clothes they just using washing machine. They can do two activities at once in the same time. Technology changes our life in all aspects. It changes the way of life.

• In education, technology used to make teaching-learning process easier. 
• In health care, many goods that based on technology to help the doctor and the patients.
• In communication, technology make no space from different place. 
• In office, technology used to help them to work.

 So, in 21^st century people life is easier with technology. Technology help them to do something in many aspect of life.

ANDROID

Do you know ANDROID ??

Android is one of operating system (OS) from Google. And to developed this operating system, open handset alliance from 34 company of  hardware, software, and telecommunications, was formed including Google, HTC, Intel, Motorola, Qualcomm, T-Mobile, and Nvidia. Android for smart phones based on modified of Linux kernel. Besides used for smart phones device, android was also developed to the other gadget such as for tablet computer.

Android has several advantages as software that uses computer code base that can be distributed open source, so that users can create new applications in it. Google's Android has integrated native application such as push email for Gmail, Google Maps, and Google Calendar.

The unique from android is each version of this OS developed under a codename based on a dessert name (cake) and then arranged by alphabet. The most version of android:

♥          Android ver. 1.1 (Banana bread)

This version is equipped with an aesthetic update to the application, alarm clock, voice search (search sound), sending messages to Gmail, and email notification.

♥          Android ver. 1.5 (Cupcakes)

The addition of several features in this version are able to record and watch videos with the camera mode, upload video to Youtube and images, A2DP Bluetooth support, the ability to automatically connect to a Bluetooth headset, animated display, and keyboard on the screen that can adapted to the system.

♥          Android ver. 1.6 (Donut)

In this version displays the search process better than before, another feature is Gestures, Text-to-speech engine; ability to dial contacts; technological change text to speech.

♥          Android ver. 2.0/2.1 (Éclair)

In Éclair version changes was made ​ the optimization of hardware, improved Google Maps, a new browser and support for HTML5, a list of new contacts, support for 3.2 MP camera flash, digital zoom, and Bluetooth 2.1.

♥          Android ver. 2.2 (Froyo/Frozen yoghurt)

Android froyo version, speed performance and application of 2 to 5 times faster ability portable Wi-Fi hotspot, and the ability to auto update in Android Market application.

♥          Android ver. 2.3 (Ginger Bread)

In this version, include increased capacity to the game (gaming), an increase in copy and paste function, user interface, VP8,WebM, new audio effect, support capability Near field communication.

♥          Android ver. 3.0 (Honey Comb)

Honeycomb android specially designed for tablets. Android version supports a larger screen size.

♥          Next ver. (Ice cream sandwich)

            Next version of android probably will be called Ice cream sandwich
